LEX_ID – ROUTES Supervisor
Mission
Supervise on a daily basis of all route activities managing the operations team on a rostered shift basis ensuring that shipments picked up by couriers are completely handed over to sortation timely as the procedures, fulfilling end lead time to meet customer’s expectation. Daily monitoring processes, generating reporting and drive performance to excellence.
Core responsibilities
Supervises day-to-day pickup operation, complete 100% of pickup assigned to routes daily, packages picked up are free from damage, complete handover of packages to sortation and reconciliation done with the team leader by end of the day, as assigned.
Assigns employees to balance workload. Arranges alternate coverage of service in case of employee absence or equipment failure.
Monitors work to ensure efficient and effective operations. Observes operational practices and enforces safety policies and procedures. Makes recommendations for process improvement, including changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of operations.
Makes recommendations for rate adjustments, ensure Operations team remain within cost targets and seek means by which to manage costs whilst maintaining/improving service and productivity levels
Generates and analyses operational reports and make recommendations as appropriate for necessary action and improvement.
Investigates and reports on worker injuries, accidents, and other incidents, maintains time records and manages attendance issues, provides timely feedback.
Investigates and resolves inquiries and complaints related to pickup operations promptly & timely.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years managerial experience in Computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications and using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities
Communicate well both verbally and in writing; listen to and understand various viewpoints; share relevant information timely; provide constructive feedback; maintain professionalism
Analytical & negotiation skills, present ideas effectively and deliver presentations
Requirements:

Three years or more working experience in services oriented operation environment, express industry or logistics operations including supervisory experience managing people.
