Transport Director

DHL Supply Chain Indonesia has an opportunity open for you, Transport Director Indonesia. The aim of this role is to 'passionately' drive a 'right first time' approach with a 'can do' attitude right across the Indonesia business as a Transport Champion, armed with experience and a proven track record within the Transport Arena. For this challenging role as Director transport Indonesia you will be required to have the following skills and experiences; worked previously in an International environment, with some exposure to working abroad, have an understanding of transport rules and regulations, managed staff across multiple locations and be able to deal with vendors for both mainland and Island deliveries, experience working with a (used to working with a) Transport Management system(TMS) as well as routing and scheduling systems and worked with sales to support growth of the business.

Role Purpose

Transport Leadership - To lead and direct the safety, financial and operational performance of the Transport and Distribution product in Indonesia. To represent the country with the context of a regional Transport BoardStrategy and Customer Focus - To provide a quality service to customers and deliver budgeted revenue, margin and cash targets.Sustainable Operational Transport Product and Growth - To profitably grow the Transport and Distribution products within IndonesiaCollective Innovation - To identify and adopt best practice from within the region, to lead necessary 'Collective Innovation'Managing Internal Stakeholders - Work within the regional standardization agenda/framework. To drive the implementation and adoption of APAC standard toolsBusiness Acumen - Understand the business (financials, strategy, people/culture) and able to deal with business situations in a professional manner. To be an expert in the commercial arrangements with customers, to be able to commercialize the DHL value proposition in a sensible manner and protect the contract margin in a cost effective manner for the customer

Qualifications

University degree or equivalent academic qualification in transport and or LogisticsProject management trainingContinuous improvement trainingNegotiation and interpersonal skillsLeadership and People Management skillsAble to speak BahasaFamiliar with government regulation of transportation in Indonesia
